The Sufi Psychology Association was invited to present in a symposium called “Spirituality and Health; Research and Case Studies in Spirituality to Promote Human Well-Being” at the American Psychological Association’s Division of Religion and Spirituality midyear conference. The symposium included researchers and faculty from different universities and members of SPA. Topics presented were “The Sufi Practice of Tamarkoz® on Spirituality, Positive Emotions, Perceived Stress and Heart Rate” and “Using Islamic Sufism to Promote Spiritual Practice in Clinical Work”. Attendees remarked on their interest in the presentations and how they’d like to see more about the topics.
