About the instructor:
Dr. Saloumeh DeGood, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and the President of the Sufi Psychology Association. She has worked with individuals, organizations, and hospitals worldwide, presenting internationally at forums such as the World Congress of Psychotherapy at UNESCO in Paris. With expertise in anxiety, trauma, and human development, Dr. DeGood integrates modern psychology with the wisdom of Sufi teachings to guide individuals toward self-knowledge, balance, and transformation.
Structure of the Course:
This course is offered as a six-week series of 90-minute live classes. Each session is intentionally structured, with the first half devoted to teaching and the second half to guided discussion and reflection. To support a meaningful and relational learning environment, participants are asked to keep their cameras on and engage actively.
If a session is missed, a recording of the lecture portion will be shared with the participant afterward. Because participation in the live sessions is an important part of the learning experience, participants must attend at least four of the six classes to receive credit for completing the course. Participants who miss three or more sessions will not receive completion credit and will need to retake the course before enrolling in subsequent SP Academy courses for which this course is a prerequisite.
