By Barbara Larsen, MFT

How can one discover the true self and experience freedom while confined to the bondage and shackles of addictions and inclinations? The concept of “Addiction” extends far beyond the consumption of drugs and alcohol. Addiction encompasses all forms of habitual entanglements and thought patterns imposed upon us by our inherited family belief systems, society, social trends, and, quite simply, others. Sufi teachings put forth a roadmap towards liberation and release from the tarnish of addictions and habits.
