RETREATS

Tamarkoz (Sufi Meditation) Retreats provide an opportunity to separate oneself from the stresses and strains of everyday life and to focus on the spiritual realm. The retreats are a time of relaxation, balancing, purification and rejuvenation. The retreats provide time and space to reconnect with one’s own innermost being. Held in an old mansion on Mt. Tamalpais, across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, amidst beautiful mountainside redwoods, the retreats also provide the opportunity for re-connection with nature.

The weekend retreats are held four times a year with the August Retreat reserved for young adults. Knowledge of English is essential. The food gets rave reviews as everything is cooked on site, and servings are bountiful and nutritious. Retreats typically begin with a scrumptious dinner on Friday evening and continue until just before noon on Sunday. Sleeping arrangements are large rooms containing several single beds with linens supplied. No alcohol or drug use is allowed, and radios, television, cell phones, etc., are not permitted.

*Retreats are held in English.

*Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
