Sufism teaches that we are born free. We are spiritual beings on an earthly journey, not earthly beings on a spiritual journey. Since Sufism focuses on the soul and spirit, differences in gender, age, education, class, religion, race, ethnicity, etc., are irrelevant. Anyone who genuinely desires to learn is welcomed.
