Tamarkoz® (SUFI MEDITATION) Retreats are healing experiences held four times a year in peaceful, beautiful natural settings. They allow one to get away from the noise, clamor and chaos of everyday life and relax, reconnecting with the natural world and rediscovering one’s own inner resources. In a Tamarkoz retreat, one can simply be. They are most frequently held at an old mansion in Marin County, north of San Francisco, California. The food is all “homemade” on site, and meals are bountiful and nutritious as well as tasty. Sleeping arrangements are large rooms containing several single beds, with linens supplied. Beginning in May, 2010, some retreats will be held at the IONS Retreat Center south of Petaluma, California. Single, double or couple rooms with shared baths may be booked. Retreats are conducted in English All participants must be 18 years of age or older No alcohol or drug use is allowed, and radios, TV, computers, cell phones, etc., are not permitted. The fee is US $315 if paid three weeks before the retreat begins or US$350 if paid less than three weeks before the retreat. Full-time students in financial need may apply for a partial scholarship.
